Hi, I’m Tabi!
This guide covers the former Motoyoshi town area in southern Kesennuma, incorporated on 1 September 2009. The cover shows Ōya Coast in 2021, not the separate Koizumi Coast destination.
Destinations lie within the former Motoyoshi boundary, now part of Kesennuma, and are not necessarily beside your check-in.

Michi-no-Eki Ōya Kaigan
道の駅 大谷海岸
This roadside station near the coast offers local products. Its building photograph dates from September 2022, distinct from the coastal cover. BRT is a bus service: check current stops and schedules rather than old rail timetables, and use pedestrian routes.

The swimming beach in the former Motoyoshi area reopened in 2019. That history does not mean swimming is permitted in autumn. Check designated approaches and evacuation signs, and adapt your visit to waves, wind and restrictions.

The roadside station introduces Kesennuma seafood, produce and processed foods. Products are not necessarily from the former Motoyoshi area, so check origin labels. Ask about seafood ingredients, storage requirements and the day’s menu and stock.
