Hi, I’m Tabi!
Watarai is an inland town in Mie associated with the Miyagawa River and tea. It is distinct from the wider Watarai District and coastal Minamiise. Choose a riverside park or shrine area for your first visit.
This guide covers places within Watarai, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Watarai tea is featured in official local materials. Check Watarai origin labels and ingredients when browsing Ise tea; not all Ise tea is grown in this town, and current availability should be checked.
Try a short return walk along public park paths. Check river levels and restrictions after rain and do not enter the river casually. Arrange separate transport and visiting information for the shrine and history collection.
