Hi, I’m Tabi!

Minamiise is a coastal town in Mie, distinct from Ise City and Watarai Town. Choose a lookout or the history of Gokashoura, arranging separate vehicle transport between the areas.

This guide covers places within Minamiise, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Three places to begin

Three places with different atmospheres. Start with the one that appeals to you instead of visiting them all.

This lookout in Ukura Park overlooks the heart-shaped inlet called Kasaragiike. The photo dates from 2024. The official guide notes limited buses and advises against walking up the mountain road; arrange vehicle access first.

A first-visit stop

Gokasho Castle Ruins

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Official local materials feature aosa seaweed cultivation in Gokasho Bay. Check Minamiise origin labels on seaweed products, as well as ingredients and current availability.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the museum area and the marked castle-site approach if open and suitable. Plan Miejima Lookout separately by vehicle; do not assume an easy mountain walk from a bus stop.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check current entry rules, opening information and return transport.
  • Choose an outing suited to steps, slopes and weather.
  • Respect worship spaces and photography rules; check food ingredients at the shop.
