Getting there Check Yantan’s location in Yuyadani and opening days
Ujitawara is linked with Soen’s development of green-tea production methods. Explore local tea or tea-based foods, checking origins and ingredients; the name Uji tea does not mean every leaf was grown in Ujitawara.
Try Yantan → public paths around the Soen birthplace, respecting crops and homes and checking interior visiting days. Official guidance lists the Shojuin Uji Tea Bus for holiday schedules from April 4 to December 6, 2026, not daily service.
