Hi, I’m Tabi!

Explore a historic cemetery and a stone-paved lane in this small town north of Kumamoto. Respect the memorial grounds and local residential streets.

This guide covers places within Gyokutō, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

A first-visit stop

Takatsuki Government Army Cemetery

高月官軍墓地

This cemetery commemorates government soldiers killed in the Satsuma Rebellion. The photograph shows its steps and entrance in May 2023. Visit quietly, keep off gravestones and use public paths, watching for steps and wet leaves.

Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Michikusa Lane

みちくさ小径

This narrow stone-paved lane links Konoha Station and Maruta Park. Residents also use it: stay out of private property and give others room. Check the actual route on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Honey Rosa is a plum grown in Gyokutō with a short early-summer fresh-fruit season. Do not expect fresh fruit in autumn. Check ingredients and current stock for ice cream, sorbet and other products introduced by the town.
