Visit a park and a former village hall north of the Kuma Basin. The cover photograph records the village’s administrative office in 2015. Check current access and transport for each destination.
This guide covers places within Yamae, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

A village park offers flowers and viewpoints. Cherry blossom and azalea descriptions refer to spring, not promised autumn blooms. Assess slopes and steps before choosing your walk, and check application requirements for the campground or clubhouse.

This registered heritage building reuses the former village hall. It is a different building from the administrative office in the cover photograph. Plan around the exterior first and ask the current operator about dining, interior access and accommodation bookings.

The village is known for growing chestnuts. Check origin and ingredient labels on Yamae chestnuts and products, and ask about harvest timing and current stock. Do not assume fixed festival dates or year-round shop menus.
