Higo-Nishinomura Station
肥後西村駅
This unstaffed station in western Nishiki offers a starting point for a visit. The photograph records the station building in 2018, before the flood disaster. Check current services and return times with the railway, stay off the tracks and avoid long-term parking.

The museum explains the history of the former Hitoyoshi naval air base. Check each tour plan’s last admission and group reservation conditions. Photography is prohibited in most exhibition areas. The free station shuttle advertised for September 20–23 was temporary and has ended; arrange current transport separately.

Kurando Market at Michi-no-Eki Nishiki sells produce from local growers. Melons, peaches and pears arrive in their seasons, rather than all being available year-round. Check current stock and closure days before visiting.
