Hi, I’m Tabi!
Visit Mashiki’s Shioi waterside park and Tsumori Shrine, checking park use and shrine ceremonies separately. Photographs from before or after an earthquake do not establish current conditions. Check local restrictions and access roads first.
This guide covers places within Mashiki, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Explore the spring-fed waterside area and park facilities, pictured in May 2026. The town’s August 3 notice reports normal opening with aftershock caution, and asks visitors to approach from the airport side where possible because village-side roads are narrow. Camping requires separate booking.

A shrine associated with the Tsumori kagura tradition. This 2014 photo is a pre-earthquake record, not a guarantee of the current building’s appearance. Performances are not held for every visit; check ceremonies and visitor access while respecting worship.

Mashiki watermelon is a local crop featured by the town. Check origin labels and distinguish fresh fruit from processed products such as ice treats. Sales seasons and stock vary; the same products are not available in every season.
