Hi, I’m Tabi!

Kochi’s Konan combines Akaoka’s painting heritage with the seaside at Yasu. Plan transport separately between Ekingura and Yasea Park. The operator states that the park’s 2026 swimming-beach season ended on August 23.

This guide covers places within Konan, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Ekingura Museum

絵金蔵

A museum conserving Ekin’s theatrical screen paintings. The photograph shows the building exterior in 2007, not an exhibited artwork. Check current displays, originals versus reproductions, and closing days with the operator.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Yasea Park

ヤ・シィパーク

A seaside park near Yasu Station. Distinguish the seasonal swimming beach from an ordinary shore visit. Following the end of the 2026 beach season, do not assume swimming is available; follow current access and use restrictions.

Getting there

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

The tourist association features Konan nira-shio yakisoba, a local fried-noodle dish with garlic chives. Chives do not make it vegetarian: ask restaurants about meat, seafood, sauce ingredients and availability.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
