Known for yuzu and forests, Umaji rewards separate plans for the onsen area and the woods near Yanase. These are not a casual walking circuit. The Forestry Agency says there is no public transport or taxi service for the roughly 10 km from Yanase settlement to the trailhead.
This guide covers places within Umaji, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.
