Hi, I’m Tabi!
Explore water and rock scenery at Nakatsu and Yasui gorges in Niyodogawa town. The wider Niyodo River basin extends beyond this municipality. The photograph records Nakatsu Gorge in November 2014, not Yasui Gorge or current foliage.
This guide covers places within Niyodogawa, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Nakatsu Gorge
中津渓谷
Water-shaped rocks line this gorge’s walking paths. The photograph shows a path and bridges in November 2014, not a full view of Uryu Falls. Watch for wet stone, steps and closures, and postpone a visit during heavy rain.

This separate gorge is known for the clear water called Niyodo Blue. Arrange transport independently of Nakatsu Gorge. Prefectural Route 362 includes narrow mountain roads; check driving conditions, return transport and local restrictions before travelling.

Sawatari tea reflects the area’s hillside tea-growing culture. Check origin labels and availability when choosing packaged tea or tea-based menus. Tea fields are working land; obtain permission for any visit and check shop and cafe opening days separately.
