Hi, I’m Tabi!
Discover Muroto through its cape’s rocky coast and an aquarium in a former school. These are separate stops requiring transport between them. The cape photograph dates to September 2010 and the aquarium exterior to February 2019, not present sea or exhibition conditions.
This guide covers places within Muroto, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Cape Muroto
室戸岬
Enjoy the cape’s meeting of sea and rock. The photograph shows Bishago Rock and its marker in September 2010, not the lighthouse or today’s sea conditions. Check strong winds, high waves and restrictions, and stay on open paths without descending onto wave-washed rocks.
Getting there Check the current approach and return transport on the map.
The aquarium reuses former Shiina Elementary School. Its photograph shows the building exterior in February 2019, not the animals or tanks. City guidance lists shorter hours in October–March than in summer; check current admission times, charges and temporary changes directly.

A meal photographed on 24 December 2022. Check current contents and availability with the restaurant.
Muroto kinme-don is introduced as rice topped with locally caught splendid alfonsino teriyaki and local fish sashimi, accompanied by alfonsino broth. Contents and service conditions vary, and catches can affect availability. Some accommodation providers serve it only to overnight guests, so check before booking.
