Hi, I’m Tabi!
Begin in Fujisato at its Shirakami-Sanchi learning centre and a waterfall in Yunosawa. Photographs show the centre in February 2023 snow and the falls in August 2018. Visiting the centre is distinct from entering the World Heritage core area.
This guide covers places within Fujisato, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Shirakami-Sanchi World Heritage Conservation Center, Fujisato
白神山地世界遺産センター 藤里館
Learn about Shirakami-Sanchi’s nature and conservation and obtain local information here. The February 2023 exterior photograph does not show current snow conditions. Check seasonal hours and closure days, including Tuesdays; forest visits require separate checks of road access, entry restrictions and bear alerts.
Getting there Check the current approach and return transport on the map.
These falls on Fujisato’s Yunosawa River are distinct from the similarly named falls at Oirase in Aomori. The photograph dates to August 2018. Check water levels after rain, path restrictions and bear alerts, and view only from open visitor areas without entering the water or approaching beneath rock faces.

Town tourism guidance introduces ramukure-don, a bowl featuring local lamb and watercress at Shirakami-Sanchi Mori no Eki. It is not a standard menu item at every restaurant. Check availability and opening arrangements before visiting.
