風の松原
This coastal forest was cultivated to protect the town from windblown sand. Its June 2017 photograph is not a recommendation to visit at dawn. Check current bear sightings and trail restrictions before visiting, and use open paths in daylight.

旧料亭金勇
This visitor facility preserves the timber architecture of a former ryotei restaurant, using Akita cedar. The photograph shows its exterior in June 2020. The operator distinguishes ordinary visits from room hire and arranged meals requiring reservations; do not assume these are included in admission.

02 · A LITTLE BITE
Kiritanpo hot pot is an Akita regional food also served in Noshiro. The city’s food guide introduces it as an Akita specialty. Treat it as a shared regional tradition and check serving restaurants, ingredients and opening days in advance.
