Hi, I’m Tabi!
Visit Tenno Green Land and the Detohama coast as separate Katagami stops. The city did not open the bathing beach in 2026 because of erosion and related conditions; plan a scenery-viewing visit rather than swimming.
This guide covers places within Katagami, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Tenno Green Land

This leisure stop includes Michi-no-Eki Tenno and its Sky Tower. The photograph shows a facility entrance in August 2025, not a view from the tower. Check the observation facilities, farm shop and baths individually for opening hours.
Getting there Check the current approach and return transport on the map.
The city’s 2026 notice says erosion and related conditions prevent opening the bathing beach, with no lifeguards stationed. Stay out of the sea and check restrictions, waves and weather. Do not assume summer beach shops remain open in October.
Getting there Check the current approach and return transport on the map.
Look for locally grown Japanese pears. The city describes Katagami as an Akita pear-growing area, with some varieties available into October. Harvests and sales seasons vary by year and variety; check that day’s stock and origin at farm shops.
Resized, metadata removed and converted to WebP; display crops vary by screen. Adapted CC BY-SA photos retain the original license.
