Hi, I’m Tabi!

Let’s explore Yokohama’s waterfront and Chinatown. Pick a place that interests you and take your time, instead of trying to see the whole city in one trip.

This guide introduces places across Yokohama City. They may be some distance from your app check-in point.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Yokohama shumai served in a bamboo steamer
Shumai photographed in Yokohama — a historical example of the dish, not a restaurant endorsement or a current menu.

Chinatown offers a range of Chinese food, from dim sum to Sichuan dishes. Start by choosing one dish from the menu photos and prices. Check the spice level and ingredients that may cause allergies before ordering.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Motomachi-Chukagai Station → Yamashita Park → Chinatown. This is Tabi’s suggested order. Eat first, change the order, or just enjoy the park.

Check the walking route

Check the map for actual distances and travel times. This suggested walk is separate from your app’s travel record.

Before you set off

  • Check the weather and wind before a waterfront walk.
  • Check official pages for current shop and facility information.
  • Shorten your plan if you feel tired, and wear comfortable shoes.
