Hi, I’m Tabi!
Yamato offers source-water woodland, old houses and station-area cultural facilities. Begin around Izuminomori and the folk houses, saving Sirius for a separate station-area outing.
This guide covers places within Yamato, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Three places to begin
Three places with different atmospheres. Start with the one that appeals to you instead of visiting them all.

Izuminomori Park
泉の森
Woodland and water around the Hikiji River’s source. Observe plants and birds from paths, avoiding protected source areas and checking waterside restrictions after heavy rain.
Getting there Check the park approach from the north side of Sagami-Otsuka station
A complex combining a library, arts and lifelong-learning facilities. Consider a book or culture stop in poor weather; it is separate from the park, and spaces have their own usage rules.
Getting there Approach Sirius from the east side of Yamato station
The local specialties guide lists Kisen’s Izuminomori sweet, made with Dainagon beans and butter. Its name does not mean it is sold at a park stall; check the Rinkan shop, ingredients and availability.
Try north of Sagami-Otsuka station → Izuminomori → the folk houses, checking opening before entering. There is no need to include Sirius in the same walk.
