Hi, I’m Tabi!
Nakai is a town of hills and parks in western Kanagawa. There is no railway station within the town: choose a JR Tokaido Line or Odakyu Line station and check onward transport for your destination. Plan the wetland and central park as separate areas.
This guide covers places within Nakai, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Itsukushima Wetland Park

A park conserving a spring-fed wetland, with boardwalks around a shrine. The photograph shows nighttime lights in May 2023, without promising daily illumination or events. Use designated boardwalks and check seasonal and event guidance. There is no permanent night lighting, and wild-boar sightings are reported: visit in daylight and keep away from wildlife.

The town’s official brand guide features mikan juice and Nakai-grown olive oil. Check certified product names, origin and current availability; not all citrus drinks or olive oil are certified Nakai products.
Begin on the wetland’s public daytime boardwalks. Check separate notices for nighttime events and stay out of the wetland itself. Avoid repair areas at the central park and arrange transport and return connections separately.
