Hi, I’m Tabi!
This guide covers former Okuchi, rather than all of present-day Isa. Okuchi merged with Hishikari on November 1, 2008, to form Isa. Explore Sogi Falls and the nearby industrial heritage along the Sendai River.
This guide covers places within Former Okuchi, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Sogi Falls Park

The former No. 2 plant’s main building was photographed close up during an August 2024 tour. This does not imply unrestricted entry. Official guidance describes exposure mainly during low water from May to September; the same view is not guaranteed in October. Check viewpoint access and water levels.

Look for sobajui, introduced in Sogi Falls Park’s food guide: thick-cut buckwheat noodles simmered with vegetables in a soy-seasoned broth, a northern Satsuma regional dish. Check availability and opening days with the restaurant.
