Hi, I’m Tabi!

This guide covers Kagoshima city. Begin with a view of Sakurajima or the Shimazu family garden. Destinations are spread out even within the city: check current bus and rail connections from your starting point, such as Kagoshima-Chuo Station.

This guide covers places within Kagoshima, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

The city’s official guide features kurobuta pork shabu-shabu and tonkatsu, part of Kagoshima prefecture’s food culture. Not every pork dish uses Kagoshima kurobuta; check origin, ingredients, current menus and prices before ordering.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Start with the viewpoint’s public areas. Check slopes, return transport and weather; plan Sengan-en as a separate visit with its own transport and admission arrangements.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
