Hi, I’m Tabi!

Shinonsen in Hyogo includes the Yumura hot-spring district and coastal Hamasaka. Discover a hot-spring scene and a rail arrival point, and plan transport between the two districts separately.

This guide covers places within Shinonsen, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Arayu, Yumura Onsen

湯村温泉・荒湯

Arayu is a spring source at Yumura Onsen. The tourism association also describes boiling eggs and other foods. Beware of hot water and follow on-site instructions.

Getting there

Hamasaka Station

浜坂駅

The photograph shows the station building in May 2011. Hyogo publishes a road improvement project linking the station and fishing harbour. Check trains, buses and works notices; the historical photo does not establish current pedestrian conditions.

Getting there

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

The Hamasaka fishery cooperative introduces local firefly squid, including simmered dishes and rice preparations. Check selling seasons, origin and preparation with the seller.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
