Hi, I’m Tabi!
In eastern Hyogo, Kawanishi offers Genji history, industrial heritage and neighborhood parkland. Start with Tada Shrine or the urban park, saving the northern museum for a separate outing.
This guide covers places within Kawanishi, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

A first-visit stop
Tada Shrine
多田神社
A shrine closely associated with the Seiwa Genji, on the former Tada-in site. Explore the halls and grounds for a glimpse of local history, respecting worshippers and access rules.
Getting there Check the approach from Tada station
Historic residences and a relocated Western-style house introduce local industry and everyday life. This northern stop needs separate transport from the shrine; check current opening days following the 2026 change.
Getting there Check the route from Yamashita station on Nose Railway
A park developed with residents, with lawns and a jogging course. Choose it for a pause in the southern urban area; use public transport because the park has no parking.
Getting there Approach from Kawanishi-noseguchi or Kinunobebashi station
The city’s specialty guide features Masui Dauphine figs, whose cultivation spread from Kawanishi. Look for seasonal fresh fruit or fig products, checking origin, ingredients and availability.
Try Kinunobebashi station → Kisera Kawanishi Seseragi Park for a first outing around the lawns and paths. Visit the shrine and local museum separately using suitable transport.
