Hi, I’m Tabi!

Observe geothermal scenery behind the onsen town from designated viewpoints. Snow, ice and maintenance can affect paths and parking access.

This guide covers places within Noboribetsu, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

Noboribetsu Hell Valley in April 202301

A first-visit stop

Noboribetsu Hell Valley

登別地獄谷

Steam and pale rock reveal this active geothermal landscape in Hokkaido. Observe from open decks and designated paths, keeping clear of hot water and vents. This is separate from the monkey park in Nagano.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

Oyunuma Pond and Hiyoriyama in April 202302

A first-visit stop

Oyunuma Pond

大湯沼

This hot pond occupies a crater formed by volcanic activity at Hiyoriyama. View it from designated observation areas rather than entering the water. Official guidance notes winter parking closures; check current road and path access first.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Noboribetsu Enma yakisoba combines flat Hokkaido wheat noodles with a spicy sesame-flavoured sauce and local ingredients. Ask about toppings and heat levels before ordering.
