Hi, I’m Tabi!

Kushiro Town is a separate municipality from neighbouring Kushiro City. This guide covers Hosooka Observatory and the lakeside campsite at Takkobu within the town.

This guide covers places within Kushiro Town, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

Hosooka Observatory

細岡展望台

This viewpoint overlooks Kushiro Marsh and its winding river. The photograph was taken in September 2008. The nearby visitors’ lounge is separate from the outdoor viewpoint; check path conditions and lounge opening hours separately.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Takkobu Auto Campsite

達古武オートキャンプ場

This campsite stands beside Lake Takkobu. Official guidance gives a May–October season; confirm this year’s operation and booking availability. Plan lakeside path access separately from overnight camping reservations.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Senposhi in Kushiro Town is an oyster-producing area. Check origin, availability and preparation at restaurants and sellers, and distinguish its origin labels from those of Kushiro City or Akkeshi.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
