This guide covers places within Toyokoro, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Toyokoro Elm

Otsu Coast is known for winter “jewelry ice”: river ice carried out to sea and washed onto the beach. The photograph dates from February 2020; ice is weather-dependent. Check waves, freezing conditions and access restrictions, and stay back from the water.

Asahido in Moiwa Honcho makes doughnuts with fillings such as cream and bean paste. Consider a snack while travelling between river and coast. Check the day’s selection, stock and allergen ingredients.
