Hi, I’m Tabi!

Meet the coast and dairy country through Notsuke Peninsula and a roadside stop in Odaito. Choose permitted visitor areas rather than planning to walk the entire peninsula.

This guide covers places within Betsukai, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

Coastal scenery at the tip of Notsuke Peninsula in 200901

A first-visit stop

Notsuke Peninsula Nature Center

野付半島ネイチャーセンター

Start with exhibits about the peninsula’s nature and history. The lead photo shows its tip in 2009, not the center building. Check wind and local restrictions and use permitted paths.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

Odaito Roadside Station exterior in 201102

A first-visit stop

Odaito Roadside Station

道の駅おだいとう

Take a break overlooking Notsuke Bay. The exterior photo dates to 2011 and does not establish the current layout. Check viewing facilities, shops and food service separately.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Look for local dairy products. The town introduces soft-serve made with Betsukai milk at the Odaito roadside station. Check seasonal availability, milk allergens and storage labels.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
