Hi, I’m Tabi!
Rankoshi in Hokkaido’s Shiribeshi region combines Shiribetsu River rice farming, coast and hot springs. Plan the coastal shell museum and mountain spa separately. Not every place around Niseko belongs to Rankoshi.
This guide covers places within Rankoshi, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Shellfish Museum of Rankoshi
蘭越町貝の館
Explore shells, fossils and marine-life stories. The 2011 exterior photo does not show the museum’s new 2026 exhibits or activities. Check seasonal opening and current displays; leave coastal wildlife untouched.
Getting there Locate the museum in Minatomachi and check current road or public-transport connections using maps and official guidance; confirm seasonal opening first.
A town-operated day-use hot spring in mountainous Yusato, separate from the museum district. Check bathing and road arrangements; do not enter geothermal areas without permission, and no health effect is guaranteed.
Getting there Verify the facility at Yusato 680: some navigation systems may point to the town office, so check the actual location rather than the name alone.
Rankoshi-mai is the local rice brand introduced by town guidance. Check origin, variety, labeling and availability when choosing rice or meals; this neither guarantees Rankoshi rice in every meal nor ranks its taste.
Resized, metadata removed and converted to WebP; display crops vary by screen. Adapted CC BY-SA photos retain the original license.
Photos are historical material dated in the credits, not a guarantee of present scenery or operation. Places without photos use decorative name panels.
