Hi, I’m Tabi!

Hatsukaichi includes mainland Hiroshima and Miyajima. This guide chooses Miyajima’s waterfront and temple for a first visit. Check island transport and return sailings first.

This guide covers places within Hatsukaichi, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

What could you try?

The city’s official tourism guide features maple-leaf-shaped momiji manju cakes. Check fillings, allergens and availability; no seller’s quality, current menu or price is guaranteed.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Check the waterfront approach from Miyajima pier and pause around the shrine. Add Daisho-in according to your ability with steps and slopes. Check tides, weather and return sailings and keep a distance from wildlife.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
