Hi, I’m Tabi!

Plan separately for a coastal-side castle park and inland mountain scenery in Ōtake. Park visits and mountain walks require different preparation.

This guide covers places within Ōtake, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Kamei Park

亀居公園

This park occupies the remains of Kamei Castle. The photograph shows stonework and grass at the former main enclosure in October 2014. It does not indicate cherry blossom conditions or current facilities; take care on slopes and stone steps.

02

A first-visit stop

Mikuradake Prefectural Natural Park

三倉岳県立自然公園

This natural park is known for large rocky peaks and woodland scenery. Treat mountain and rock routes separately from short sightseeing walks and check experience, equipment, weather and current route information.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Japan’s agriculture ministry introduces moburi, rice mixed with ingredients such as vegetables, as Hiroshima regional food and describes its ceremonial use in Ōtake. Do not assume it is a permanent restaurant menu item; ask about availability.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
