Hi, I’m Tabi!

Discover historic buildings, Meisen textiles and a temple tree in Isesaki. Begin around Meijikan in the center and plan Kezoji separately.

This guide covers places within Isesaki, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Three places to begin

Three places with different atmospheres. Start with the one that appeals to you instead of visiting them all.

The Isesaki Meijikan building01

A first-visit stop

Isesaki Meijikan

いせさき明治館

A cultural space in a relocated Western-style former clinic, with displays of Isesaki Meisen textiles. Check indoor opening information.

Getting there

The osmanthus tree within Kezoji Temple02

A first-visit stop

Kezoji’s osmanthus tree

華蔵寺のキンモクセイ

The temple’s osmanthus tree is a designated natural monument. Flowers and fragrance are seasonal. This photograph shows the temple tree, rather than the amusement park; respect its roots and worship spaces.

Getting there
Official address: 群馬県伊勢崎市華蔵寺町6. Check current transport and return connections.

03

A first-visit stop

Former time-signal bell tower

旧時報鐘楼

A former bell tower with brick-faced walls and Western-style windows and roof forms. Add its exterior to a central historic walk without assuming indoor access.

Getting there
Official address: 群馬県伊勢崎市曲輪町28-23. Check current transport and return connections.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Jinja korokke is a local potato snack fried with ingredients such as flour and aonori, then served with sauce. Check ingredients and availability.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try Isesaki station → the former bell tower → Meijikan. Check indoor opening information and save Kezoji for a separate outing.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check current entry rules, opening information and return transport.
  • Choose an outing suited to steps, slopes and weather.
  • Respect worship spaces and photography rules; check food ingredients at the shop.
