Handa Canal
半田運河
Canal scenery with brewing warehouses and black walls. Explore shipping and brewing history from outside paths. Distinguish operating facilities and private property and do not enter warehouses freely.
Getting there Check public canal paths using JR Handa Station as a starting point.
Explore industrial history in a building that began as a Meiji-era brewery. The photo shows its exterior in 2018. Check exhibition, event and café arrangements separately; walking outside does not imply unrestricted interior access.
Getting there Locate the entrance from Meitetsu Sumiyoshicho Station and check separate transport from the canal.
The official tourism guide highlights Chita food culture using soybean miso, tamari and red vinegar. Explore dishes with regional brewed seasonings and check actual ingredients and allergens. No restaurant or local origin for every ingredient is guaranteed.
