Hi, I’m Tabi!
Tobishima in Aichi offers a look at life on reclaimed land and its drainage history. It is separate from the island of the same name in Yamagata. Pair the public hall area with a prearranged visit to the pump museum.
This guide covers places within Tobishima, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Central Public Hall Area
中央公民館周辺
Explore the village’s cultural facility area. Aichi’s tourism guide lists the hall lobby among the Tobishima Lights venues for October 28–December 20, 2026. Indoor displays are accessible only during opening hours. The 2016 photograph shows the building, not the event.

Preserved drainage pumps tell how this low-lying reclaimed land was protected from flooding. The museum is normally locked: arrange a visit with the village education board’s lifelong education division before travelling. Confirm opening days and acceptance.

Official regional material identifies green onions and spinach as Tobishima specialties. Look for origin labels when choosing seasonal vegetables. Availability and tasting opportunities depend on the outlet.
