Hi, I’m Tabi!

Tahara offers coastal scenery and agricultural and seafood products on Aichi’s Atsumi Peninsula. Start with the lighthouse exterior or Koijigahama after checking wind, waves and access.

This guide covers places within Tahara, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Irago Lighthouse

伊良湖岬灯台

A white lighthouse supports navigation at the Atsumi Peninsula’s tip. The Coast Guard describes its continuing navigational role. The photograph dates to 2014; distinguish an outside walk from admission to the lighthouse interior.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Koijigahama Beach

恋路ヶ浜

A sandy beach extending along the Pacific side. The distant island in the lighthouse photo is Kami Island; that image does not show the entire beach. Walk to suit waves, wind and local restrictions; unrestricted swimming is not promised.

Getting there

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

The tourism guide’s Atsumi Peninsula Donburi Road includes rice-bowl examples using local large clams, including tempura-and-egg preparations. Availability at every shop or date is not promised. Check shellfish, wheat, egg and other actual ingredients and allergens.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
