Hi, I’m Tabi!

Nagoya offers castle scenery, lively shopping streets and a shrine surrounded by woodland. Choose a place and a meal instead of trying to walk to everything at once.

This guide covers places within Nagoya City, not the entire prefecture or province, or places immediately beside your app check-in.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Hitsumabushi eel rice served with accompaniments
Hitsumabushi — a historical example of the dish, not a restaurant endorsement or a current menu.

Kishimen flat noodles and hitsumabushi eel rice are examples of Nagoya cuisine. Compare menus and prices and check ingredients before ordering.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Tabi suggests Osu Kannon Station → Osu Shopping District → Kamimaezu Station. Visit Nagoya Castle and Atsuta Jingu separately using public transport.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check closing days, admission and accessible areas before leaving.
  • Leave room for others when stopping or taking photos.
  • One place is enough; plan around the weather and your energy.
